Back surgery
Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert said his back “feels great” after offseason surgery, but doesn’t know at what point he’ll be able to participate fully in offseason activities. “I don’t know,” Eifert said, when asked if he would be ready for training camp. “I’ll have to see how I’m feeling and go from there.” (ESPN)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Thanks to ankle and back injuries Eifert only saw the field for 8 games in 2016 and has played just 21 games the last two seasons. He’s a true difference maker when on the field (18 TDs in last 21 games) but his injury risk will make him a gamble in redraft leagues this summer.
