Foles likley to test free agent waters
Eagles coach Doug Pederson put an end to the Carson Wentz-Nick Foles quarterback debate during his season-ending press conference on Tuesday. “Yes, Carson is the quarterback going forward,” Pederson said. “And in Nick’s case, we’d love to have everybody back throughout the roster but — as I’ve said many, many times — it’s not about one guy. It’s about the team and we’re going to do what’s best for the team.” (NJ.com)
Nerdy Football Analysis: It sounds like Foles will be switching teams this off-season and Wentz, who missed five games with a bad back will return as the starting QB in 2019. Wentz is expected to make a full recovery this off-season. With more than a few teams searching for a quality quarterback, Foles should have no trouble finding a starting gig on the open market.
