InjuryOdds remain slim D-Will will play versus Bengals

The Steelers practiced again on Thursday and RB DeAngelo Williams remained on the sideline.

Williams was injured in Week 17 against the Browns and was in a walking boot by the time the game ended with what was initially described as an ankle injury, but what the team is calling a foot issue. Whatever the exact nature of the injury, the concern about Williams’ availability to face the Bengals on Saturday remains high as long as he’s unable to get on the field. (Pro Football Talk)

Nerdy Football Analysis: ESPN NFL Senior writer Jeremy Fowler tweeted Thursday that OC Todd Haley said Fitzgerald Toussaint is “the guy” this week unless Williams can go. Jordan Todman will receive some work as well, but neither Toussaint nor Todman is a high-upside fantasy option. For what it is worth, the Steelers believe Williams will be able to play if they can beat Cincinnati this weekend.
