Shoulder injury occured in 4th preseason game
The Colts have waived/injured running back Boom Herron, the team announced, a move that comes after he suffered a shoulder injury in Thursday night’s preseason finale. Herron will be subject to the waiver wire, but if he clears, he’ll be placed automatically on the Colts’ injured reserve list. (Indianapolis Star)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Herron was playing the meaningless preseason game in large part because rookie Josh Robinson was out with a concussion. Herron was injured on a kickoff return. Robinson and Vick Ballard (hamstring) are the current backups to Frank Gore.
