One-year deal
The team added ground support Tuesday by signing veteran free agent Spencer Ware. The 5’10”, 229-pounder had visited the Colts prior to the draft. Jay Ajayi also visited Indy.
As is the case with most post-draft free-agent signings, Ware signed a one-year contract. According to NFL Network, the deal is for $1.305 million with incentives that could push the value to $2.05 million. (Indianapolis Star)
Nerdy Football Analysis: The Colts backfield now consists of Marlon Mack, Nyheim Hines, Jordan Wilkins, Jonathon Williams and Ware. As long as they remain healthy, Mack and Hines will get the bulk of work out of the backfield making them the most fantasy relevant.
