RB remains on commissioner’s exempt list

A man of second chances, the Browns general manager has signed former Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt to a one-year deal despite the fact he was captured on video kicking and shoving a woman at a downtown Cleveland hotel in February. Dorsey, who drafted Hunt in the third round of the 2017 draft out of Toledo when Dorsey was GM of the Chiefs, signed him to a one-year deal worth about $1 million, depending on how many games he’s suspended for in 2019. He’s due to be a restricted free agent after the season. (Cleveland Plain Dealer)

Nerdy Football Analysis: Hunt remains on the commissioner’s exempt list for now and will be facing some kind of suspension from the league. Hunt is also under league investigation for two other incidents. This move puts a wet blanket on the fantasy value of running back Nick Chubb who became a RB1 in Cleveland during the back half of 2018 and finished as the RB15 overall. However, the value of Hunt and Chubb will depend largely on the length of Hunt’s suspension.
