$26.5 million guaranteed, $54 million over three years

The Jaguars answered their biggest off-season question Saturday night when they signed quarterback Blake Bortles to a contract extension through the 2020 season. Bortles was due a guaranteed $19 million this year had the Jaguars picked up his option by March 14. Per CBS Sports, Bortles’ deal includes $26.5 million guaranteed and worth $54 million over three years. (Florida Times Union)

Nerdy Football Analysis: Bortles had an uneven 2017, starting the year off slow but did manage some solid performances from Week 13 on and was able to get his completion percentage to 60 percent for the first time in his career. He finished 13th in overall fantasy points among QBs but was more of mid-range QB2 in F/Pts per game. This moves takes Jacksonville out of the conversation for Kirk Cousins.
